Meat Institute Applauds USDA Efforts to Address Harmful Biden Packers & Stockyards Act Regulations
Trump Administration’s Actions Benefit Livestock & Poultry Producers, Preserve Strong Demand, Prevent Frivolous Lawsuits, Promote High Quality Meat for Consumers
ARLINGTON, VA –The Meat Institute today said the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) efforts to address Biden-Era regulations would ensure beef, pork and poultry producers can be rewarded for raising high quality livestock and poultry and ensure consumers have continued access to exceptional US meat and poultry products.
“We are grateful to President Trump, Secretary Rollins, and Deputy Secretary Vaden for continuing their efforts to get rid of misguided and costly Biden era regulations which placed plaintiff lawyer profits ahead of farmers and ranchers’ prosperity,” said Meat Institute President and CEO Julie Anna Potts.
“The Biden Administration attempted to use lawfare to limit marketing options that reward livestock and poultry producers for investing in their operations and providing consumers with the abundant and high-quality meat and poultry they demand.”
