FSIS Preparing for Phase 2 Implementation of PHIS Export Component

The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is preparing to implement phase two of its Public Health Information System (PHIS) Export Component on March 4, 2019. The countries to be issued certificates through PHIS during phase two implementation include Angola, Antarctica, Aruba, Bhutan, Botswana, Bouvett Island, Brunei Darussalam, Christmas Island, Comoros, Eritrea, Falkland Islands, Faroe Islands, French Southern and Antarctic Islands, Greenland, Guernsey, Heard Island and McDonald Islands, Isle of Man, Jersey, Lesotho, Liechtenstein and Vietnam. The industry test environment for phase two will be available January 7 through February 15, 2019. Establishments will have a two-week window to test the component.
