Perdue Names Senior Leaders at USDA AgenciesMonday, April 23, 2018

Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue announced the selection of senior leaders in several USDA agencies. Perdue appointed Ken Isley as Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) administrator, Joel Baxley as Rural Housing Service (RHS) administrator and Martin Barbre as Risk Management Agency (RMA) administrator. Isley most recently served as special adviser for Corteva Agriscience, the agriculture division of DowDuPont, and was previously vice president, general counsel and secretary of Dow AgroSciences. Baxley was most recently consulting services director and senior real estate technical consultant at RSM US LLP's Financial Advisory Services consulting practice. Barbre owns and operates Chestin Farms and is former president of the National Corn Growers Association Corn Board.
Meanwhile, Perdue appointed Tommie Williams as minister-counselor for agriculture at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations Agencies for Food and Agriculture in Rome. In his new role, Williams will work on issues such as emergency food assistance, food safety standards, agriculture and rural development. Williams served as a Georgia state senator from 1998 to 2016, and held the position of president pro tempore during his tenure.share on facebook share on twitter
