National Salt Reduction Initiative Invites Additional Company Commitments

The National Salt Reduction Initiative (NRSI) plans to announce this spring a third set of company commitments to its salt reduction targets. Those companies wishing to participate must submit commitment documents by February 28.

NRSI is a New York City-led partnership of cities, states and national health organizations aimed at promoting the voluntary reduction of salt levels in packaged and restaurant foods. Thus far, 22 companies have publicly committed to meeting NSRI targets.
