Texas Ag Department to Bring Export Program to AMI Convention, May 1-3 in DallasFriday, February 24, 2012
The Texas State Department of Agriculture (TDA) will host the Texas State Trade and Export Program in Conjunction with the AMI International Meat Poultry & Seafood Convention & Exposition, May 1-3 at the Dallas Convention Center.
The program will bring buying delegations from China and South Korea to meet with 75 to 100 Texas based companies that export. The TDA will help set up meetings with current attendees and exhibitors based in Texas.
Texas is a leader in the global marketplace and has led the nation in export revenue for nine consecutive years with a total of $206.64 billion in 2010, up 26.7 percent from $162.9 billion in 2009. The state’s top exporting partners, in order, were Mexico, Canada, China, Brazil and South Korea.
