AMI Selects GES as Electrical Provider for 2011 Meat Poultry & Seafood Convention and Exposition

Thursday, January 13, 2011

Washington, D.C. — The American Meat Institute (AMI) announced the selection of Global Experience Specialists (GES) to provide electrical utilities and services in addition to serving as the official services provider to exhibitors at the 2011 Meat, Poultry & Seafood Convention and Exposition, to be held April 13-16, 2011, at McCormick Place, Chicago, Ill.

Due to the recent changes in Illinois legislation, ETS, formerly Focus One is no longer the exclusive provider of electrical services at McCormick Place.  GES has a long record of experience providing electrical support to large industry shows at other expo centers throughout the country.

“Adding electrical services to GES’s portfolio of services at McCormick Place makes the most sense.  This change will ensure that AMI exhibitors are provided with both top-notch customer service and the greatest possible return on their investment,” said AMI Vice President for Convention and Expo Services, Anne Halal.

AMI and GES agreed to improved service levels and compelling rates for electrical installation. Coupled with other exhibitor rights that allow work to be done by full time staff, and the integrated customer service programs of GES, exhibitors can expect higher satisfaction and up to 20% reduction in show site costs.
