Social events at the 2005
American Meat Institute (AMI) International
Meat, Poultry & Seafood Industry Convention and
Exposition, Oct. 26-29, 2005, at Chicago's
McCormick Place, will celebrate history and
offer networking opportunities.
The AMI
International Meat, Poultry & Seafood Industry
Convention and Exposition is part of Worldwide
Food Expo, which also includes the Food & Dairy
Beverage Exposition.
International
guests will receive the VIP treatment during a
special welcome reception, Thursday, Oct. 27
from 5-6 p.m. at McCormick Place.
International visitors from around the globe
are invited to relax and network with
colleagues and suppliers.
The AMI
Chairman's Gala Reception and Dinner will be
held Oct. 28 from 6-10 p.m., at the historic
Chicago Hilton and Towers. Celebrate AMI’s
100th Anniversary with previous AMI chairmen,
who will reflect on Institute and industry
history in a special video tribute.
During the Gala, the chairman's gavel will
be passed. AMI’s Annual Awards -- the
Industry Advancement Award, Supplier of the
Year Award, Edward C. Jones Community Service
Award and AMI Foundation Scientific Achievement
Award -- also will also be presented.

Worldwide Food
Expo is a biennial event that attracts more
than 30,000 industry leaders from 100 countries
to see the largest North American display of
food industry suppliers in one location. The
Expo offers more than 1,200 exhibitors in 1.2
million square feet of floor space will
showcase their innovations, and attend up to 60
educational workshops emphasizing new
technologies in the food processing
industry.
