Kenneth H. Taylor, Jr., president of Taylor Packing Co., Inc., in Wyalusing, PA, has been elected to a one-year term as vice chairman of the American Meat Institute (AMI).
selection came at AMI's Annual Business Meeting
which preceded the 1997 International Meat
Industry Convention and Exposition, October
30-November 2 at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
Taylor has spent his entire
29-year career with the company and was named
president in 1979. Earlier, he served three
years in the U.S. Army, completing tours of
duty in Germany and Vietnam, and attaining the
rank of Captain. Taylor serves on the boards
of a number of community and civic
organizations, including Wilkes University, the
Wyalusing Industrial Development Corporation
and Guthrie Health Care System.
He received his B.S. in economics from
Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH.

processors of beef, pork, lamb, veal and turkey
products and their suppliers throughout North
