2005 Worldwide Food Expo Offers Marketing Sessions In Spanish

Washington, D.C.-- The 2005 Worldwide Food Expo will offer Spanish-language sessions aimed at educating international senior level managers about marketing to American suppliers. The sessions will be held Friday and Saturday, Oct, 28 and 29 during Worldwide Food Expo, Oct.26-29, 2005, at Chicago's McCormick Place.

'Strategic Program Requisites for Marketing to USA Customers' is a two-part session scheduled for Friday, Oct. 28, 10 am – 12:30 pm and Saturday, Oct. 29, 8-10:30 am. The session will provide an overview of essential elements that U.S. customers require of suppliers either as regulatory compliance or brand protection.

Topics addressed during the sessions include:
• Good Manufacturing Practices compliance and verification by authorized third party firms;
• Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) plan review, critical control point validation and on-site plan verification;
• Allergen program requisites and residue testing level compliance;
• Product recall plan validation and crisis management verification by document review or on-site verification and recall insurance; and
• Bio-terrorism compliance and FDA plant registration/notification of import arrivals.

Worldwide Food Expo is sponsored by the American Meat Institute (AMI), International Association of Food Industry Suppliers (IAFIS) and the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA).
