American Meat Institute Names Jaqueline Sher Vice President of Convention and Member Services

American Meat Institute (AMI) President J. Patrick Boyle announced that Jacky Sher has been named vice president of convention and member services.

Sher has served as director of convention, education and member services AMI since 1998. During her tenure, she has coordinated the logistical and educational arrangements for AMI conferences, seminars and meetings. Sher also directs membership recruitment and retention, production of the AMI Membership and Product Export Directory, and serves as director of administration for the National Meat Canners Association.

“Jacky has demonstrated a tremendous capacity for coordinating and marketing successful conventions and events,” said Boyle. “Her organizational abilities are invaluable to AMI members and the industry.”

Prior to joining AMI in 1996, Sher served as manager of membership and meetings with the international Association of Environmental Testing Laboratories and as advertising and marketing manager with Partnership Umbrella.

Sher received her B.A. in business administration and marketing from Mount Vernon College in Washington, DC.

AMI represents the interests of packers and processors of beef, pork, lamb, veal and turkey products and their suppliers throughout North America. Headquartered in Washington, DC, the Institute provides legislative, regulatory and public relations services, conducts scientific and economic research, offers marketing and technical assistance and sponsors education programs.
