The American Meat Institute
(AMI) announced today that Hussain Jafri has
joined the Institute as the manager of
information technology.
Jafri will
assist AMI’s Director of Information
Technology Pat Schuck in network support,
training of AMI employees, interoffice
communication and development of electronic
communications.
Prior to joining AMI,
Jafri served as an information technology
manager and lead technologist for American
Forests, a Washington, DC-based conservation
group. Jafri also has worked as a network
administrator and project manager at Voxware,
Inc., in Princeton, NJ, and as a technical
support representative at Spaceworks, Inc. and
GE Information Services, both located in
Rockville, MD.
Jafri received a Bachelor
of Science in marketing from the University of
Maryland, College Park in 1994.
AMI
represents the interests of packers and
processors of beef, pork, lamb, veal and turkey
products and their suppliers throughout North
America. Headquartered in Washington, DC, the
Institute provides legislative, regulatory and
public relations services, conducts scientific
and economic research, offers marketing and
technical assistance and sponsors education
programs.
