Conference on Worker SAfety Offering Certificate Course on Training in the 21st Century

Washington, DC—The AMI Foundation’s Conference on Worker Safety, Health and Human Resources will include a certificate course titled “Training in the 21st Century,” a four session course aimed at enhancing plant training programs.

During the sessions, leading industry players will discuss the latest on how to develop orientation programs, how to develop training programs and processes and how to enhance supervisory skills and development.

Session leaders include Mike Hartley, corporate safety director, Smithfield Packing Co.; Eric Reynolds, manager, safety/ergonomics, Taylor, An Excel Food Solutions Company; Richard LaFrance, assistant vice president, human resources, Taylor, An Excel Food Solutions Company; Regina Barker, executive director, Practical Ergonomics; and Mark Dopp, senior vice president, regulatory affairs and general counsel, AMI. Also, the course will conclude with a panel that will discuss ethics, inclusion and morale.

The 15th Annual Conference on Worker Safety, Health and Human Resources also offers a comprehensive certificate course on training, 16 unique one-hour workshops and the 2003 Safety Awards Banquet where the “best of the best” will be feted at a special ceremony. The three-day event is $585 for AMI members, $525 per person for groups of three or more from the same Member Company, and $825 for non-members.
