Washington, DC — CNN analyst and Washington political guru Charlie Cook offers his predictions about the upcoming elections at the Washington Insider breakfast during the American Meat Institute’s Annual Convention and Innovation Showcase, October 24 – 26, 2002, in New Orleans.

“AMI is pleased that such a respected and talented political analyst with a window into the constantly changing political climate here in Washington will offer his insights to AMI members just prior to the mid-term elections,” said AMI President and CEO J. Patrick Boyle.

Regarded as one of the most astute and impartial analysts of the Washington political scene, Cook will take a look behind the scenes to learn about Congressional races critical to meat and poultry businesses. Cook’s quick wit, memorable stories and important insights provide audiences of every political perspective with concrete information about today’s political and legislative environments.

Cook is the editor and publisher of The Cook Political Report and a political analyst for the National Journal Group, where he writes weekly for National Journal magazine and CongressDailyAM. In addition to his duties at CNN, Cook has appeared on all the major television network news shows, including NBC’s “Meet the Press,” ABC’s “This Week” and “Nightline,” CBS’s “Evening News with Dan Rather” and PBS’s “NewsHour” with Jim Lehrer.
