1998 AMI Annual Convention and Innovation Showcase to Feature Latest in Meat and Poultry Technology and Services.

The 1998 American Meat Institute (AMI) Annual Convention will feature the Innovation Showcase, the premier exhibition of the latest developments in technology and services for the meat and poultry industry. The AMI Convention will be held September 17-19 at the Philadelphia Marriott, Philadelphia, PA.

The Innovation Showcase is a regular component of the AMI Annual Convention and is recognized as the place for innovative industry suppliers to exhibit their latest products to decision makers and buyers. This year’s event has attracted more than 150 exhibits and has sold out all exhibit space.

Products and services to be displayed include marking, coding and labeling equipment, cutting and boning devices, laboratory supplies and services, seasonings and ingredients, sanitation equipment, packaging and processing equipment, computer communication hardware and software, environmental services and equipment, materials handling equipment and temperature control equipment.

The informal atmosphere surrounding the Innovation Showcase provides an excellent opportunity to meet with exhibitors and discuss their products and services in-depth. No other event this year will provide a better opportunity to see the latest developments in the meat and poultry industry.

In addition, some exhibitors will be conducting mini-conferences on Thursday and Friday afternoons to demonstrate how specific products and services can improve both operations and profitability.

The Innovation Showcase will be open Thursday, September 17, and Friday, September 18, from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Mini-conferences will be held both days, 3:30 to 5 p.m.

Registration for the 1998 AMI Annual Convention is $545 for AMI or American Meat Science Association members and $645 for non-members if received by August 17, 1998. All registration fees increase by $100 after August 17. Passes for the Innovation Showcase only are also available for $50. (Non-exhibiting industry suppliers are not eligible for this price.)
