The deadline on a call for posters for the International Meat Animal Welfare Research Conference (IMAWRC) will close December 31, 2003. The IMAWRC is jointly sponsored by the AMI Foundation and the Federation of Animal Science Societies. IMAWRC will be held February 17, 2004, at the
Hyatt Regency Crown Center in Kansas City, Mo.
The conference will address cattle and pig
production, transport and processing issues and
is designed to offer scientific updates from
leading authorities in all of these areas.

Foundation’s 2004 Animal Care and Handling
Conference for the Food Industry, February
18-19, 2004, at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center.
The conference has become one of the
Foundation’s most popular and last year
attracted nearly 350 people.

The conference will feature
a half-day general session and a full day of
species-specific, practical information.
Species tracks will cover cattle, pig and egg
production and processing. The conference also

attendees the opportunity to interact with

members of AMI and the ten cosponsoring
organizations, $295 when three or more members
register together and $450 for non-members.
