AMI Names Elisa Javier Assistant Controller

The American Meat Institute (AMI) announced today that Elisa Javier has been named assistant controller.

At AMI, Javier’s responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation of financial statements, financial management and accounts payable and receivable.

Javier has more than 23 years of accounting experience. She joins AMI after serving as assistant controller with Audio Buys, Inc., where she was responsible for preparation of financial statements, supervision of accounts payable and receivable staff and preparation of tax reports.

“Javier’s financial expertise and extensive business experience will truly benefit AMI’s accounting department,” said AMI President J. Patrick Boyle.

Javier has a B.S. in business administration and personnel management from the University of the East, Manila, Philippines.

AMI represents the interests of packers and processors of beef, pork, lamb, veal and turkey products and their suppliers throughout North America. Headquartered in Washington, DC, the Institute provides legislative, regulatory and public relations services, conducts scientific and economic research, offers marketing and technical assistance and sponsors education programs.
