Wright Brand Foods' Dan Wright Elected to Second Term as AMI Treasurer for 1998-1999

W. Dan Wright, president and CEO of Wright Brand Foods, Inc., in Vernon, TX, has been elected to a second term as treasurer of the American Meat Institute (AMI). He will serve from September 1998 to October 1999.
Wright’s election came during AMI's Annual Business Meeting, which preceded the 1998 Annual Convention and Innovation Showcase, September 17-19, 1998, in Philadelphia, PA.

Prior to joining his family’s meat processing business in 1978, Wright, a certified public accountant, spent six years with Arthur Young & Company in London England, and Dallas, TX.

Wright received his B.B.A. from Southern Methodist University and his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.

“Dan’s experience in financial management is a tremendous asset to AMI. That is why we are so please he has agreed to serve a second term as treasurer,” said AMI President J. Patrick Boyle.

AMI represents the interests of packers and processors of beef, pork, lamb, veal and turkey products and their suppliers throughout North America. Headquartered in Washington, DC, the Institute provides legislative, regulatory and public relations services, conducts scientific and economic research, offers marketing and technical assistance and sponsors education programs.
