North American Meat Institute Applauds Administration Efforts to Open South African Market to U.S. Meat and Poultry

Washington, D.C.— North American Meat Institute President and CEO Barry Carpenter expressed his appreciation following today’s announcement at the White House press briefing that South Africa will open up its market to U.S. beef, pork and poultry.

“We’re pleased to learn that the South African market will be reopened to beef, pork and poultry products,’ said Carpenter. “The news is a testament to the administration’s hard work and dedication to improving market access for meat and poultry around the world.”
