NAMA Awards Dane Bernard its Presidential Award

Rancho Mirage - North American Meat Association gave its Presidential Award to Dane Bernard, vice president of food safety and quality assurance at Keystone Foods LLC, at a ceremony held during the association's Annual Meeting on Friday, March 21, 2014. 

Prior to joining Keystone, Dane was vice president of food safety for the National Food Processors Association, where he had worked since 1973. Dane is a registered specialist in food, dairy and sanitation microbiology with the American Academy of Microbiology. He serves as Chairman of the NAMA Food Safety Committee and has also been an invited expert to five International Consultations. 

“Congratulations, Dane, you’ve done so much for this association and this industry,” said NAMA Co-President Tony Gahn, Jr., of Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based Gahn Meat Company, Inc., during the awards presentation held at the association's Meat Industry Management Conference.
