Annual AMI Environmental Recognition and Achievement Awards to be Presented at Reception
Washington, DC- The American Meat Institute Foundation (AMIF) today announced that the AMIF Environmental Conference for the Meat and Poultry Industry will take place on January 26-27, 2015 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia collocated with the International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE).
The Environmental Conference for the Meat and Poultry Industry, formerly held in conjunction with the AMIF's Conference on Worker Safety, Human Resources and the Environment, will address key environmental issues facing the industry, including resource conservation, greenhouse gas emissions and waste management. The conference will include the AMI Environmental Recognition and Achievement Awards, which will be presented at an evening reception on Monday, January 26.
The application for the 2015 Environmental Achievement Awards, which recognize companies that go beyond compliance in their sustainability and environmental efforts, is now open and will be accepted through COB on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Applications are also now being accepted for the 2015 Environmental Recognition Awards, which honors companies that have demonstrated a continuous dedication to environmental improvement.
