Registration for the 2008 Annual Meat Conference, March 9-11 in Nashville, Tenn., at the Early Bird Rate of $595 ends on Feb.8. Three or more registrations from the same member company at the Early Bird Rate are $545 each. After Feb.8, registrations rates will increase to $695 for an individual or $645 for three or more registrations from the same member company.
Feb. 14 is the last day to make hotel reservations at the special conference rate of $175 for a single or double occupancy room. For the special conference rate, call the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center directly at 1-866-972-6779 and mention the Annual Meat Conference.
Co-sponsored by the American Meat Institute (AMI) and the Food Marketing Institute (FMI), the conference each year attracts 800 members of the retail grocery and meat industries. It is considered the leading educational event focusing on meat and poultry marketing developments, merchandising issues and consumer purchasing trends.
This year’s conference will serve up some bold thinking about selling strategies, operational efficiencies, packaging, marketing, technology and workforce issues. General session topics include the secrets to unshakable customer loyalty, and an in-depth look at meat through the customers’ eyes.
