Food Safety and Inspection Service Re-Charters National Advisory Committee on Microbiological Criteria for Foods

The Food Safety and Inspection Service announced that it is re-chartering the National Advisory Committee on Microbiological Criteria for Foods (NACMCF), and in doing so, announced the addition of a number of new members.   

 

NACMCF is charged with making recommendations to the Secretaries of Agriculture and Health and Human Services regarding microbiological criteria by which the safety and wholesomeness of food can be assessed. The committee is made up of a collection of scientists from academia, industry, other organizations, federal and state government and an individual affiliated with a consumer group, who serves in a representational capacity.
