Deadline for Priority Space Selection for 2013 AMI Expo is March 30

(American Meat Institute)

The deadline for priority space selection at AMI’s International Meat Expo, to be co-located with the International Feed Expo (IFE) and International Poultry Expo (IPE) January 29-31 in Atlanta, is March 30. Assignments will be made according to priority points accumulated through consecutive years at IFE, IPE or exhibit history with AMI, and booth size.  After priority placement, space will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.

In cooperation with U.S. Poultry & Egg Association and American Feed Industry Association, AMI has worked to merge points to simplify the exhibit selection process and ensure AMI members and exhibitors have an equal opportunity for priority placement and housing blocks.

In order to make the point systems equitable with the IPE annual accumulation of points, AMI updated the  point records for companies that exhibited consecutively during its show’s biennial years credit to two points per exhibit.  Exhibitors that participated in AMI 2011 or AMI 2012 will be credited with points from IPE or AMI, whichever is greater.  After the 2013 expo, only consecutive points will be accumulated for future priority periods.

For purposes of the housing block selection, AMI 2012 exhibitors will also benefit from a one-time +10 point addition to their record.  This is only relative to the housing block, and is not accumulated from year to year.  This bonus is automatically given to IPE 2012 exhibitors that book inside the block.  Companies that exhibit in both AMI 2012 and IPE 2012 will only receive one bonus (+10).

In addition to the advantage of AMI history, AMI exhibitors can look forward to a reduction in fees, with excellent opportunities to save even more if they are exhibiting in the 2012 AMI or IFE/IPE expos.  Here are the published exhibit rates:
