AMI Extends Deadline for Proposals to Deliver Meat Tech Presentations During ExpoThursday, February 9, 2012

AMI is extending the deadline for proposals to deliver Meat Tech presentations during the AMI Meat, Poultry & Seafood Industry Convention and Exposition, May 1-3, 2012, at the Dallas Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. Proposals may be submitted until February 17.
These exhibitor generated presentations were a great success in 2011, creating a buzz on the floor and providing exhibiting companies and their customers additional opportunities for education, networking and discussion regarding specific topics. Technical, non-sales session descriptions are submitted by exhibiting suppliers, reviewed by AMI members and technical staff and presented by the scientific and technical experts from the exhibiting companies. Presentations are selected on technical merit and on a first come first served basis.
The 20-minute sessions will be held on the show floor, during show hours, not conflicting with the education sessions provided by AMI. This allows more visibility for attendees and exhibitors.
Specific papers will be presented in the following categories:
- Food Safety Interventions and Ingredients
- Recent Analytical Methods of Pathogens
- Application of Sanitary Design Principles for Meat and Poultry Processing Equipment and Facilities
- Packaging Technologies
- Information Technology Collection
Other topics outside of this scope will also be considered, but should focus on the technical merit of new or improved technologies or services.
