AMI Accepting Applications for Safety and Environmental Recognition AwardsThursday, January 12, 2012
(American Meat Institute)
The American Meat Institute is now accepting applications for its Safety and Environmental Recognition Awards.
The Safety Recognition Award Program is a joint effort between the American Meat Institute and the National Safety Council.
The various levels of awards that may be earned are based on an evaluation of each eligible plant's actual safety performance as well as its implementation of various key components of an effective safety and health program as measured by the safety program questionnaire. For more information or to apply for the program, go to http://www.meatinstitute.org/ht/d/sp/i/323/pid/323.
Applications for the Environmental Recognition Awards (formerly MAPS) are also being accepted. This annual awards program honors companies who have a continuous dedication to environmental improvement. Applications for this program are available for download at http://www.meatinstitute.org/ht/d/sp/i/262/pid/262.
Applications for all awards must be completed by January 20, 2012. The awards will be presented during the Conference on Worker Safety, Human Resources and the Environment. For more information about the conference, go to http://www.meatinstitute.org/ht/d/sp/i/10426/pid/10426.
