AMIF to Host Webinar on New Public Health Information System (PHIS)

The American Meat Institute Foundation and the HACCP Consulting Group are partnering to host an educational webinar on the Public Health Information System (PHIS), a new Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) data analysis system. The webinar will be held on June 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and will provide an overview of PHIS and its impact on the meat industry.

Speaker Robert Savage, president of HACCP Consulting Group, LLC, and moderator Scott Goltry, AMI vice president of food safety and inspection services, will also discuss how a plant profile is generated and integrated within the PHIS system; key elements of Hazard Analysis Verification Task procedure; and how PHIS will review validation documents, verify reassessment requirements and track noncompliance records (NRs).
