AMI Spring Expo in Chicago Shifts Focus to Benefit International AttendeesTuesday, February 8, 2011
(American Meat Institute)
Washington, D.C. — International attendees will benefit from networking opportunities, education and special services at the American Meat Institute’s 2011 Meat, Poultry & Seafood Convention and Exposition, April 13-16, 2011, at McCormick Place, Chicago, Ill.
Many international trade shows have partnered with AMI in promoting each other’s shows. They include Foodex in England, FOOMA in Japan, ExpoCarnes in Mexico, IFFA in Germany and Techno Carne in Brazil. AMI is preparing to roll out the red carpet in anticipation of many attendees from the shows’ home countries — and from nations around the world.
The Spring Expo will feature an international trade center adjacent to the main registration. Services include Internet and email access, lounge areas, private meeting rooms, translators, refreshments and other business matching services for international visitors.
In addition, AMI is collaborating with the Chicago International Trade Commissioners’ Association (CITCA), a volunteer organization comprising the senior trade representatives from foreign governments based in Chicago. CITCA currently has 41 members representing 35 countries from across the globe. The Trade Commissioners play an essential role in informing and consulting their commercial constituents from their respective countries, and in facilitating trade and business opportunities with the Midwest.
The AMI Expo site features tools to make VISA applications and travel for international guests easier. For more information go to http://www.amiexpo.com/international-guests/translated-materials.share on facebook share on twitter
