AMI Spring Expo Exhibit Sales Strong in January

AMI added 28 new companies and more than 8,000 square feet in January to its 2011 Meat, Poultry & Seafood Industry Convention and Exposition, April 13-16, 2011, at McCormick Place, Chicago, Ill.

All totaled, 300 exhibitors are booked for the new Spring AMI Expo, which moved to April in 2011 from its previous October dates.  With 10 weeks remaining, the show is 80 percent sold out. 

The show will feature six tracks of timely educational workshops with 25 educational sessions, including a Capital Equipment Justification Short Course, which will detail the process of justifying capital equipment purchases to realize operational benefits for companies. General Session Speakers include Former Central Intelligence Agency Director and National Security Agency Director Michael Hayden and Former Kellogg CEO and Chairman of the Board Carols Gutierrez, who also served as Secretary of Commerce.

This year, “Meat Tech” free technical presentations from exhibitors — shifts from traditional classrooms to a new classroom at the center of the show floor.  Floor pavilions will focus on Sustainability and on Seasonings, Flavors and Ingredients.

According to AMI President J. Patrick Boyle, “All indications show that we are poised for an extremely strong Expo this spring in Chicago.”
