Judge Dismisses Case Challenging No-Match RuleFriday, November 20, 2009

U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer has dismissed the case challenging the no-match rule. All parties agree any action is now unnecessary, given the proposed no-match rule was rescinded in October by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
DHS has said it will instead focus on increasing compliance through improved verification, including participation in E-Verify, ICE Mutual Agreement Between Government and Employers (IMAGE) and other programs.
