FSIS Issues Notices on Export Library Revisions, New PBIS CodesWednesday, August 12, 2009

The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued Notice 55-09, Export Library Revisions for July 29. The notice provides links to pages of the Export Library for those countries that have made changes in their export requirements. Countries with revisions include Australia, China, Costa Rica, European Union, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Russia, St. Lucia and United Arab Emirates. In addition, FSIS has issued Notice 54-09, New Performance-Based Inspection System (PBIS) Procedure Code and Result Codes. This notice is a re-issuance of the instructions from FSIS Notice 50-08 and provides instructions for using the Build PBIS Schedules function; introduces the new procedure code 07A01; and provides new result codes for procedure code 07A01.
