AMS Accepting Comment on Proposed Revisions to IMPS Fresh Beef and Fresh Pork SeriesTuesday, July 7, 2009

The United States Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is inviting comment on proposed revisions of two Institutional Meat Purchase Specifications (IMPS) series-- Series 100 - Fresh Beef and Series 400 - Fresh Pork.
The discussion drafts are available for review at: http://www.ams.usda.gov/AMSv1.0/LSIMPSRevision.
According to AMS, the revisions reflect "current industry practices and marketplace offerings for cuts of fresh beef and pork." The drafts also include "material requirements and purchaser specified options clarifications."
