FSIS Publishes Questions and Answers on New E. coli Measures for Establishments Processing Raw Beef Products

The Food Safety and Inspection Service has published a number of questions and answers in relation to Notice 05-09: Measures to Address E. coli O157:H7 at Establishments that Receive, Grind or Otherwise Process Raw Beef Products.

Topics addressed include applicability questions regarding certain types of establishments, definitions of terms within the notice, ensuring proper procedures are in place for compliance, timeline for compliance, certain regulatory requirements, etc.
