AMI Foundation Sponsoring Listeria Workshop in May

The AMI Foundation (AMIF) is sponsoring its popular Advanced Listeria monocytogenes Intervention and Control Workshop in May.

The Listeria workshop is scheduled for May 27-28, 2009, at the Allerton Hotel in Chicago.

This updated educational opportunity is designed to help manufacturers of ready-to-eat (RTE) meat and meat products examine the issues surrounding control methods and to provide experience in developing appropriate sanitation protocols and testing plans for processing RTE products.  In addition to assuring optimal product safety and implementing best practices for RTE process, the workshop offers a key benefit: helping to assure compliance.

Scheduled session topics include: Listeriosis Process Control Technology and Principles; Sanitary Equipment and Facility Design in Construction; Listeria Rule Update and Implementation; Understanding Product Risk and Appropriate Intervention; Monitoring for Process Control; Lot and Line Segregation; Data Analysis; Investigation and Corrective Actions; and Sucessfully Completing an RLM and Food Safety Assessment.

Registration is limited to 60 participants to ensure a quality learning experience.
