FSIS Amends List of Safe and Suitable Ingredients for Use in Meat in Poultry Products

The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has amended FSIS Directive 7120.1, which identifies the substances that have been approved for use in meat and poultry products as food additives, approved in generally recognized as safe (GRAS) notices and pre-market notifications and approved in letters conveying acceptability determinations.
