The Indiana Senate passed a measure last week that would suspend state business licenses of employers who knowingly hire undocumented employees on three occasions.  The measure passed the Senate by a vote of 37-13 and is similar to legislation which became law in the state of Arizona two years ago.  The Indiana Chamber of Commerce and other civic associations opposed passage of the bill.  The bill now moves to the Indiana House for further consideration.
