The Department of Defense, General Services Administration and National Aeronautics and Space Administration have agreed to delay the applicability date of Federal Acquisition Regulatory (FAR) Case 2007-013, Employment Eligibility Verification, until May 21, 2009, so that the new Administration may have time to evaluate this rule.
The rule, which requires federal subcontractors of any tier to use the Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify system to check employees’ work authorization, was scheduled to go into effect January 15, but was suspended until Feb.20
