(American Meat Institute)
The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) recently modified its Country-of-Origin Labeling (COOL) Program’s Web site, www.ams.usda.gov/cool.
AMS added a link to the National Animal Identification System (NAIS) homepage and two informational brochures with regulatory information for retailers, consumers, producers and suppliers. The brochures are dated November 12, 2008, and are located under the New Guidance Documents section of the Web site.
To receive updates on new guidance documents, interested parties may subscribe to the site’s new listserve. Subscribers will receive an email when a new guidance document is posted or when an existing document is changed on the COOL Web page.
