The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will hold a public meeting April 17, 2019, in Washington, DC to discuss the agency’s intentional adulteration draft guidance, which helps food facilities comply with the Intentional Adulteration (IA) Rule under the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). The IA rule requires covered food facilities to implement risk-reducing strategies for processes that are significantly vulnerable to intentional adulteration. Comments on both the draft guidance and public meeting are due by July 5, 2019, to ensure they are considered before work begins on the final guidance.
