USTR Delays List 3 Tariff Increase

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) delayed the scheduled January 1, 2019, List 3 tariff increase from 10 percent to 25 percent on $200 billion worth of Chinese imports to the U.S. The rate for these Chinese imports will increase to 25 percent on March 2, 2019. The tariffs are part of the U.S.’s Section 301 trade action against China for its unfair policies and practices involving forced technology transfers and intellectual property rights.
