The U.S. and China have agreed to hold additional talks in an effort to stem ongoing trade tensions. A Chinese delegation led by Vice Minister of Commerce Wang Shouwen will meet later this month with U.S. representatives led by Under Secretary of Treasury for International Affairs David Malpass to discuss steps to achieve a more balanced trade relationship. The talks would be the first since early June, when U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross met Chinese Vice Premier Liu He in Beijing. Since then, both countries have implemented several rounds of tit-for-tat tariffs with more expected in the coming weeks.
