A new report from Farmers for Free Trade, a bipartisan campaign to rebuild support for trade at the grassroots level, details the significant impact on U.S. pork and other commodity exports resulting from China's retaliatory measures in response to the Trump Administration's worldwide steel and aluminum tariffs. The report also highlights the states that will be most affected as a result of the tariffs. Iowa, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina and Minnesota are the states projected to be most affected by China's 25 percent tariff on U.S. pork. China's retaliatory tariffs also are expected to impose an additional $270 million in duties on U.S. pork, according to the report.
