IPPE Convenes Next WeekFriday, January 26, 2018

The meat and poultry industry will gather next week in Atlanta, Georgia for the 2018 International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE), scheduled to take place January 29 – February 1, at the Georgia World Congress Center. This year's event will feature nearly 1,300 exhibitors and is expected to attract more than 28,000 industry professionals from more than 100 countries. The 2018 IPPE also includes more than 140 hours of free and paid meat-specific education sessions, with workshops addressing meat quality, animal welfare, regulatory issues and family business strategies, among other topics. Popular events, including beef and pork cutting demonstrations, a chili cook-off and a welcome reception at the Georgia Aquarium will once again return for the 2018 show. Attendees can download a free mobile app for iPhones and Androids , complete with exhibitor information, education program details and other relevant show materials.
NAMI members are invited to attend the Institute’s Annual Awards Ceremony and Luncheon, which is scheduled to take place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on January 30, 2017, at the Georgia World Congress Center, and will feature Meat Institute Board of Directors, key industry leaders, representatives from packer and processor companies and award nominees and their families. NAMI also will sponsor the Meat Industry Hall of Fame Reception and Dinner January 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the Omni Hotel in Atlanta.
