Meat Institute Seeks Nominations for 2017 Annual Awards

The Meat Institute is soliciting nominations for its Annual Awards Program, which recognizes individuals and companies that have made significant contributions to the meat and poultry industry. Four awards -- E. Floyd Forbes Award, Harry L Rudnick Educator's Award, Supplier of the Year Award, Foundation for Meat and Poultry Research and Education's Scientific Achievement Award -- will be presented during the Meat Institute's Annual Awards Luncheon, which will be held January 30, 2018, in Atlanta, Georgia. The event is part of the 2018 International Production and Processing Expo, the largest annual meat, poultry and feed industry tradeshow. Meanwhile, the Industry Advancement Award and the Edward C. Jones Community Service Award will be presented at the Meat Industry Summit, April 17-19, 2018, in San Antonio, Texas.

Nominations are due November 10, 2017, and can be submitted using the electronic or paper-based forms. Submissions should include a brief summary describing why the nominee is deserving of the award and any relevant supporting materials.
