Meat Institute Joins Smithfield at DC Central Kitchen Donation Event

Meat Institute staff was on hand at the DC Central Kitchen where Smithfield Foods donated 80,000 pounds of protein to feed more than 300,000 meals in the Washington, DC region. NAMI regularly tries to recognize members, particularly in social media, for their efforts in their communities and for food donations around the country. Members are encouraged to share press releases and other information with Meat Institute staff to assist in highlighting the extensive work the meat industry does in its communities.
