More than 1,000 lawmakers, congressional staff, meat industry representatives and members of the media attended NAMI’s Annual Hot Dog Lunch last Wednesday, July 19, on Capitol Hill. Former Major League Baseball greats Jim Palmer and Al Hrabosky and U.S. Olympic softball gold medalist Jennie Finch greeted fans and signed autographs.
Guests consumed more than 3,500 hot dogs, corn dogs, brats and other sausages from popular hot dog manufacturers including Boar’s Head Provisions Co., Inc.; Dietz & Watson, Inc.; Hormel Foods Corporation; Land O’Frost, Inc.; Johnsonville, LLC; Oscar Mayer Company; Smithfield Foods, Inc.; and Tyson Foods, Inc.
Reps. Michael Conaway (R-TX) and Collin Peterson (D-MN) hosted the 2017 Hot Dog Lunch, which was sponsored by the American Beverage Association, Diageo, Hormel Foods Corporation, International Bottled Water Association, The Kraft Heinz Company and Snack Food Association.share on facebook share on twitter
