Meat Institute to Co-sponsor Aggie Processed Meat Technology School

NAMI, Southwest Meat Association and Texas Association of Meat Processors are partnering with Texas A&M University Department of Animal Science and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension program to host the 2017 Aggie Processed Meat Technology School , scheduled to take place April 19-21, 2017, in College Station, Texas. Attendees will learn about the meat products and ingredients best suited for use in processed meat items, and experts will demonstrate cooking, smoking and thermal processing considerations. The program also will provide an overview regarding ways to evaluate the quality and safety of processed meat products. Registration costs $595 per participant through April 7, 2017, and increases to $695 until April 15, 2017. The maximum number of attendees will be capped at 40.
