The Meat Institute donated 7,205 pounds of meat products to the North Texas Food Bank following the 2017 Annual Meat Conference (AMC), February 19-21, in Dallas, Texas. AMC, which is hosted jointly by the North American Meat Institute Foundation and the Food Marketing Institute, offered comprehensive education programming that detailed the latest developments in meat retailing and consumer trends. The conference included participation by major retailers including Walmart, Target, SuperValue, Harris Teeter and Aldi.
"I have been attending meat conferences for close to 50 years, and have never attended one that was as focused and pertinent to my needs as was this conference," said Meat Institute member Mike Satzow, founder and executive vice president of sales and marketing at North Country Smokehouse. "I would highly recommend that anyone who is looking to grow their business in the national retail arena attend next year's conference in Nashville, Tennessee."share on facebook share on twitter
