IPPE Convenes Next Week

The meat and poultry industry will gather next week in Atlanta, Georgia for the 2017 International Production and Processing Expo (IPPE), scheduled to take place January 30 - February 2, at the Georgia World Congress Center. This year's event will feature a record-breaking 1,300 exhibitors and is expected to attract more than 28,000 industry professionals from over 100 countries. The 2017 IPPE also includes a large offering of free and paid meat-specific education sessions, with workshops addressing meat labeling, meat quality, regulatory issues and family business strategies, among numerous other sessions. There are several special events scheduled, including a chili cookoff and a Meat Industry Hall of Fame Dinner at the Georgia Aquarium, the world's largest aquarium. Attendees can download a free mobile app for iPhones and Androids , complete with exhibitor information, education program details and other relevant show materials.

NAMI members are invited to attend the Institute's Annual Awards Ceremony and Luncheon, which is scheduled to take place from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on January 31, 2017, at the Georgia World Congress Center, and will feature Meat Institute Board of Directors, key industry leaders, representatives from packer and processor companies and award nominees and their families. The Master of Ceremonies will be Damian Mason, professional speaker, entertainer, writer and business owner, specializing in entertaining and informative messages for business reinvention and agriculture audiences. The Environmental Conference for the Meat and Poultry Industry and the Worker Safety Conference for the Meat and Poultry Industry are both co-located with the 2017 IPPE, and are scheduled to take place January 30-31, 2017, at the Georgia World Congress Center.
