Trade Data Through November Now Available

The latest Trade and Market Statistics Report, released by USDA and compiled by the Meat Institute presenting data through November 2016, is now available. Total beef and pork export volumes increased compared to 2015 figures, while beef export value declined 1 percent and pork value rose five percent. Beef exports to South Korea remained strong, increasing 38 percent in volume and 25 percent in value compared to the same period in 2015. Pork exports to Hong Kong increased 61 percent in volume and 53 percent in value. Meanwhile, pork exports to Japan were down five percent in volume, while exports to Mexico increased four percent in value.
