Meat Institute Authors Two Technical Articles for Meatingplace

NAMI authored two exclusive technical articles for Meatingplace to help processors better understand how to work with inspectors in the event of a food safety assessment (FSA) or receiving a noncompliance record (NR) .

Meat Institute Vice President of Regulatory Services Norm Robertson underscored the benefits of collecting and analyzing data gathered by Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) systems to identify potential issues in establishments. "The FSA process has become an unavoidable reality in today's FSIS-inspected establishments, so the best approach is to be proactive to the extent possible, thereby limiting the pain when it comes time for the next FSA in your establishment," Robertson added.
